Celebrations of Youth Day in Preparation in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- Preparations for celebrations of the Youth Day (Aug. 28) are gaining momentum in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Kim Chol Ung, a department director of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, told KCNA:

"Various events are to be held in celebrations of the Youth Day.

The preparatory committee for celebrations of the Youth Day is under operation and delegates to the celebrations were already selected.

A national exhibition of sci-tech achievements by young Koreans is taking place at the Three-Revolution Exhibition.

Colorful art performances are put on stages by young people of industrial establishments and contests of art agitation squads of students and youth under way throughout the country.

Meanwhile, the country is seethed with diverse political, cultural and sports activities, creating climate for the day."

Kim Kwang Chol, a department director of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, said:

"Young people of industrial establishments are boosting production with the approach of the Youth Day.

Young employees at the Mangyongdae Garment Factory, Songyo Knitted Goods Factory, Sadong Garment Factory and other light industrial establishments have already fulfilled their yearly assignments.

Many young men and women distinguish themselves in construction projects.

The celebrations will fully demonstrate the high spirit of young Koreans striving hard for the prosperity of the country under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un."
