Kim Il Sung Praised as Liberator of Korea by Foreign Media
Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Media of India and Cambodia carried special write-ups and aired special programs on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Indian paper Indian and World Event on August 13 allotted a whole page to articles titled "Benefactor of Liberation" and "Legendary Guerrilla" with a portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

The paper said:

The anti-Japanese armed struggle in Korea was a life-or-death fight against the formidable Japanese army that tried to dominate the world together with the then fascist Germany.

Kim Il Sung led the hard-fought anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory.

The Korean people bravely turned out in the anti-Japanese sacred war, looking up to him as the sun of the nation who will liberate Korea.

The Korean people's cause of national liberation was accomplished on August 15, 1945 at last.

The exploits he performed for liberating the country are always remembered by the Korean people and the world progressives century after century.

Cambodia's AKP said on August 11:

Kim Il Sung organized an unprecedented legendary guerrilla struggle to liberate Korea.

He waged a guerrilla struggle for 15 years without any state assistance and aid from a regular army.

The 15-year-long struggle was unprecedented in the world history of the guerrilla movement.

The immortal, great personality of Kim Il Sung as a legendary guerrilla hero will always go down to history.

The state radio of Cambodia on August 10 aired a program praising him for achieving the historic cause of Korea's liberation.
