An article titled "Day of Korea's Liberation" said: August 15 is the day of important significance in the history of Korea. On the day 67 years ago there put an end to the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule which imposed unspeakable misfortune and sufferings upon the Korean people.

The Korean people won the victory through their hard-fought struggle and thus achieved freedom and independence, and the DPRK has turned into the sovereign state with legitimate authority in the international arena.
