DPRK's Important Holidays Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- There took place in Poland and Switzerland on Aug. 10 and 11 celebrations of the 52nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership of and the 67th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Displayed in the venues of the events were photos showing revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Also on display were works of the peerlessly great men and books introducing their revolutionary feats.

Korean films dealing with feats of Kim Jong Il were shown at the events.

Speeches were made there.

Slaboy January Guzowski, chairman of the Central Committee of the Poland-Korea Association, said that the foundation of the Songun idea was already laid when the President started the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

He continued:

Kim Jong Il started his Songun leadership by inheriting the idea of the President.

It is extremely natural for the people of the DPRK, who are holding in high esteem Kim Jong Un who has inherited the Songun politics, to mark the anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun leadership. The anniversary is a significant day to other world peoples as well who desire the genuine freedom, democracy and rosy future.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee and chairman of the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, noted that Kim Jong Un gave field guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on the New Year 2012 to demonstrate his will to creditably carry forward the Songun revolutionary leadership of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il generation after generation.

He noted that the people of the DPRK are sure to win in the drive to build a thriving nation and achieve national reunification under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

Messages of greeting to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events.
