Actions for Having S. Korean Conservative Regime Stepped down Called for
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress and the People's Strength for Building New World of south Korea held a rally in Seoul on August 11 to vow to achieve independent reunification of the country.

Speakers said since taking office Lee Myung Bak has enforced arrogant dictatorial rule and confrontation policy while taking the lead in realizing the policy of neo-liberalism.

They called for barring the "Saenuri Party" from staying in power in order to prevent a war and bring peace to this land.

They underlined the need to shatter the conservative regime's moves for extending its rule and judge the forces standing against reunification and democracy.

A resolution was read out at the rally. It said that the danger of war is running high in the Korean Peninsula due to the moves of Lee Myung Bak and the "Saenuri Party" for confrontation with the DPRK.

If all the people turn out in actions in unity, they can prevent the conservative forces from staying in power and bring about independence, democracy and reunification, the resolution noted.

It called upon all the people to step up all-out actions to build a peace system, have the U.S. forces withdrawn from south Korea and dissolve the alliance with the U.S.
