Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a bylined article.

The imperialists are working hard to block the road of independence, the road of Songun and socialism chosen by the Korean people, the article notes, and goes on:

They are trying to force the Korean people into slavery and ruin.

It is the steadfast will of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK people to demonstrate to the whole world the honor of Kim Il Sung's nation, Kim Jong Il's Korea by successfully carrying forward the independent stand which had been maintained by Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il all their life.

The army and people of the DPRK are well aware of the fact that they can build a rich and powerful country and win greater victory only when they firmly adhere to the independent stand and successfully carry forward its tradition. The complicated situation in international arena teaches them a historical lesson that they can be reduced to the plaything of imperialists, and the country and nation be ruined unless they maintain the independent stand.

They will bolster the nation's capacity for self-defence enough to resolutely foil any pressure, sanctions and war moves of the U.S. imperialists and the Japanese reactionaries.

No force on earth can match the army and people of the DPRK who are rallied as one around the dear respected Kim Jong Un, holding him in high esteem as supreme leader of the WPK and revolution and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
