Korea's Liberation Won by Force of Arms
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- August 15, 2012 marks the 67th anniversary of Korea's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule.

President Kim Il Sung led a guerrilla warfare against the Japanese aggressors to achieve national liberation.

Basing himself on the Juche idea, he set it as a fundamental principle of liberation struggle in colonies to win the independence of each country by its own efforts.

The 15-year-long anti-Japanese armed struggle, commanded by him, played a pivotal role in defeating the Japanese aggressors and attaining Korea's independence, as the highest form of anti-Japanese national liberation struggle in Korea.

The victory in the struggle clearly proved the truth that any counterrevolutionary violence should be resisted with revolutionary violence and an organized armed struggle is the best way for achieving liberation and independence of each country from the imperialist aggressors.

On the worldwide significance of the Korean people's victory in the anti-Japanese armed struggle, a prominent politician in Latin America said:

"The Korean people launched an anti-Japanese armed struggle in the 1930s to achieve national liberation. Their experience clearly showed that any nation can win the struggle against invaders only by force of arms."

President Kim Il Sung's enduring feats in setting an example of national liberation struggle are recorded in the history of world's revolutionary movement.
