Torrential Rains, Downpour Hit DPRK Again
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Torrential rains and downpour hit most areas of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on Tuesday and Wednesday, affected by the seasonal rainy front lingering in the central part of Korea.

309 mm rainfalls were registered in Kaesong City, 211 mm in Jangphung County of North Hwanghae Province, 155 mm in Sepho County, 132 mm in Kosan County and 138 mm in Phyonggang County, 126 mm in Ichon County of Kangwon Province, 138 mm in Riwon County of South Hamgyong Province, 107 mm in Kim Chaek City of North Hamgyong Province, 104 mm in Songchon County of South Phyongan Province and 113 mm in Yonan County and 106 mm in Paechon County of South Hwanghae Province.

Downpour hit most areas of Kangwon Province, some areas of South and North Hwanghae Provinces and coastal areas of South and North Hamgyong Provinces.

It rained 63 mm in Pukchong County from 03:00 to 06:00 on Wednesday, 56 mm in Kim Chaek City from 06:00 to 09:00, 162 mm in Kaesong City and 55 mm in Paechon County from 09:00 to 12:00.
