Wreaths Laid before Liberation Towers and Cemeteries of Fallen Fighters of Soviet Army
Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Staff members of the Russian embassy here laid a wreath before the Liberation Tower on Wednesday, the 67th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ambassador Alexandr Timonin and staff members of the Russian embassy and diplomatic envoys of foreign countries and military attaches of foreign embassies here.

A wreath in the name of the embassy was placed before the tower.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the fallen fighter of the Soviet Army before looking round the tower.

Then, they laid a wreath and bunches of flowers before the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang.

Earlier, staff members of the embassy placed bunches of flowers before the Liberation Tower, the Monument to Fallen Fighters of the Soviet Army and their cemeteries in local areas.

Meanwhile, the consul general and staff members of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chongjin laid wreaths before the Liberation Tower and the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army on August 14.
