New Wind Power Generator, Solar Lamp Invented in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Scientists and technicians in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have invented new kinds of one kilowatt-capacity wind power generator and solar garden lamp.

The household generator is 15 percent higher in efficiency than the previous ones.

It can generate electricity at wind speed 2.5-13 meters per second, with no mechanical problem at a higher wind speed.

With three wings, it can ensure 24 voltages of electricity in direct current and can run for 10 years.

The solar garden lamp is made with locally available raw materials.

It works 8 hours a day on the average and can operate in five consecutive rainy or cloudy days.

Those inventions have already been introduced to Kim Chaek University of Technology and some dwelling houses and industrial establishments in North Phyongan Province and other areas.
