US-S. Korea War Confab under Fire
Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the U.S. deputy secretary of Defense flew to south Korea to hold military confab with Kim Song Hwan, "minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade," and Kim Kwan Jin, "defense minister."

The senior U.S. and south Korean officials discussed the issue of "tightening alliance" under the new defense strategy, stressing the importance of "resetting the strategic equilibrium in the Asian region".

They also had confab on the issue of the DPRK's "movement" and the proposal of making cooperation in the "policy toward the north".

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

The recent military confab was a dangerous meeting between the American master and its servants to hatch a plot against the DPRK.

The meeting precisely aimed at another war against the DPRK as it is little different from firing a signal flare for the war.

What merits more serious attention is that the Lee Myung Bak regime is acting a shock brigade in carrying out the strategy.

It was clearly proved by remarks made by the regime that it was once again convinced of the significance of the "alliance".

All facts indicate that the U.S. policy for invasion of the DPRK remains unchanged and that the reckless action of the Lee regime to invade the north with the backing of its American master has reached the dangerous phase.

Their hysteria is little short of pouring oil to the fire.

The provocateurs will face only doom.
