Hanging on the front walls of the venues were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and seen before them were floral baskets.

Displayed there were pictures showing revolutionary activities of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Suk, three commanders of Mt. Paektu.

Exhibits included famous works of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and books, photos and fine arts introducing Songun Korea.

Present at the events were personages of governments, political parties, armed forces organs, social organizations and educational, cultural and media organs and masses of the Republic of Buryatia and Maritime Territory. The consul general and staff members of the DPRK consulate general in Nakhodka were present there on invitation.

The first deputy chief of the Presidential Office and the first vice-minister of Culture of the Republic of Buryatia said that the historic meeting of the top leaders of the two countries in Ulan-Ude in August last year was a great event which opened a turning phase in further developing the Russia-DPRK relations of friendship and cooperation.

A professor of Far Eastern State University noted that Kim Jong Il was a great man produced by humankind, adding thanks to his farsightedness, wisdom, iron faith and deep knowledge the DPRK is demonstrating the might of Songun and greeting the heyday in the economy, science, culture, military affairs and all other fields.

The chairman of the Maritime Territorial branch of a public chamber of veterans expressed boundless reverence for Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who made great contributions to the prosperity of the DPRK and global peace.

The Russia-DPRK relations will be steadily carried forward as there is the dear respected Kim Jong Un who has successfully inherited the cause of the preceding leaders, the chairman stressed.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event sponsored by the Maritime Territorial branch to congratulate him on receiving the title of DPRK Marshal.
