S. Korean Paper Denounces Japan's Moves to Become Military Giant
Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- Kyunghyang Daily News of south Korea in an editorial on August 1 denounced the Japanese authorities' moves to become a military power.

The defence white paper published by Japan on July 31 clearly testifies to its stand to turn the country into a military giant, the editorial said, and went on:

Japan has annually spent defence budget to the tune of tens of billions of U.S. dollars in recent years, putting spurs to bolstering its military muscle.

Japan, a war criminal state that provoked the Pacific war in the last century, has gone intent on increasing the military capabilities without any sincere apology for its past history. This poses another threat to neighboring countries.

In this year's defence white paper, too, Japan repeated stereo-typed nonsense that Tok Islets belong to it.

This being a hard fact, Lee Myung Bak regime is trying to conclude a military agreement while calling for future-oriented military cooperation with Japan.

Japan can never be a party for cooperation as it has not yet opted to settle the issues of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and the forcible drafting of Koreans while laying "territorial claim to Tok Islets".
