DPRK's War Victory Day Marked in Benin, Nigeria
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- A seminar took place in Benin and a photo exhibition and film show in Nigeria in the period from July 16 to 22 on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War.

On display at the venue of the photo exhibition were photos showing the feats performed by leader Kim Jong Il and the efforts of the army and people of the DPRK for building a thriving socialist nation.

The Korean film "Arms of Korea" was shown at the film show.

The chief of the Benin Group for the Study of Kimilsungism and Kimjongilism said that President Kim Il Sung wisely led the Korean people to win the historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. invasion.

The Korean people always won victory in the politico-military stand-off with the U.S. that lasted for over half a century after the war thanks to Kim Il Sung, an invincible and iron-willed commander, he said.

A department director of the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria and the chairman of the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Songun Politics praised Generalissimo Kim Il Sung as outstanding strategist and most prominent great man in the 20th century who defeated the U.S. and its following forces' numerical and technical superiority by means of politico-ideological, strategic and tactical superiority.
