Relief Work in Flood-hit Areas in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Flood by downpour on July 29-30 caused big damage to some areas of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

A wave of rainstorms, that hit Tohwa-ri, Kaechon City and Ryonghwa-ri, Anju City in South Phyongan Province, flooded the areas, leaving their residents homeless and roads and bridges destroyed. Flooding was so rough in Junhyok-ri, Kaechon City that lifeboats could hardly reach the victims.

Helicopters flew to the areas to rescue the flood victims on Monday.

Meanwhile, urgent government relief steps are being taken for inhabitants in flood-stricken areas.
