China Will Boost Friendship with DPRK: Senior Chinese Official
Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Zhou Yongkang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, met with the visiting delegation of the DPRK Ministry of People's Security led by Minister Ri Myong Su at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday. The delegation paid a courtesy call on Zhou.

Present at the meeting were Meng Jianzhu, minister of Public Security, and other Chinese officials of the ministries of Public Security and Foreign Affairs and DPRK Ambassador to China Ji Jae Ryong.

Zhou recollected with emotion the celebrations for the 65th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea in 2010 where he was honored to meet with leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

He expressed the ardent yearning for Kim Jong Il, saying he was a great leader of the Korean people and a close friend of Chinese people.

The Chinese party and government are pleased to see the Korean people getting united and making great achievements in economic construction under the leadership of Kim Jong Un and the WPK, he said, convincing that the Korean people would achieve greater success in building a thriving nation.

He voiced the will to boost bilateral friendship in political, economic, cultural and all other fields.

Saying that Kim Jong Il's visits to China played a decisive role in developing the Sino-DPRK friendship, he expected wide-ranging visits and exchange would be continued in the future, too.

Referring to cooperation between the security organs of the two countries, he expressed conviction that the visit of the delegation would make a positive contribution to developing the Sino-DPRK relations.
