"Arirang" Program Modified
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- The grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", given annually here, has been modified in its program.

The performance is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Its creative group amended the script and performance designs to fully represent all the people stepping up the building of a thriving country under the wise guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Composition and contents of several acts and scenes of the performance have been refined on an ideological and artistic basis. The background, too, has undergone changes, with more than half of its previous contents renewed. And properties and tools used by performers have also been improved.

The performance will be supported by diverse lighting and sounding devices like laser lighting and extra-large projection screen.

It takes 80 minutes, consisting of 19 acts and scenes.

Kim Kum Ryong, senior director of the performance, told KCNA:

"'Arirang' is considered a hit for its signal contribution to opening a new phase in the development of the world's arts.

The spectators will experience the Korean nation's wisdom and talent as well as the true picture of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's Korea whose people are dynamically advancing towards a fresh victory, closely rallied around the dear respected Kim Jong Un."
