Rodong Sinmun Calls for Advancing toward Final Victory under Leadership of Songun Commander
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- The awarding of the title of DPRK Marshal to the dear respected Kim Jong Un is a token of the absolute trust and loyalty of the army and people for the great brilliant commander of Songun. It is also a historic event of great significance in ushering in a new heyday of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's Korea. Rodong Sinmun Friday editorially says this.

It goes on:

The DPRK's history is a sacred one in which all the army and people have formed a harmonious whole with the great brilliant commanders of Songun and emerged ever-victorious.

Only when we hold the illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu in high esteem as DPRK Marshal, can we guarantee the eternal victory of the DPRK. This truth will remain unchanged as ever.

Kim Jong Un's personality as an outstanding and gifted strategist has been well known among the Korean people from long ago. He, who learned military affairs from his early years, provided the Songun revolutionary leadership with leader Kim Jong Il and made a distinguished contribution to increasing the nation's defence capabilities.

He is the father of the people who has ushered in a new history of loving the people and the future generations with ardent patriotism.

Unshakable is his will to take care of the destiny of the country and people which President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il entrusted to him and build on this land a thriving socialist nation in which the desires of the people come true.

The country and the revolution will remain unfazed by any storm and stress as all the party members, servicepersons, school youth and children and other people are rallied close around Kim Jong Un.

They should cherish the great national pride and honor of holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem as DPRK Marshal and carry on the dynamic struggle for the bright future and final victory of Songun Korea, the editorial concludes.
