Collection of Music Anecdotes "Mother and Song" Published
Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- A collection of music anecdotes "Mother and Song" was published in the DPRK.

The collection contains four parts of 95 anecdotes about anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk who struggled, regarding songs as a mighty treasured sword along with arms of the revolution and an appendix of music of relevant songs.

The first part "Song of struggle which resounded forth in guerrilla zone" tells anecdotes including stories about the days of enlightening people and leading activities of the art troupe of the Children's Corps through songs reflecting the firm pledge to beat back the Japanese imperialists, landlords and capitalists and embark upon the road of the revolution in her early years.

The second part "Song of revolution which resounded forth in battles fought against the Japanese troops" deals with unforgettable anecdote about Kim Jong Suk who gave birth to the shining star of Mt. Paektu and brought him up, singing a lullaby, and stories about how she led the guerrillas to the struggle with revolutionary songs in battlefields.

The third part "Song of building the country that resounded forth in the liberated country" deals with anecdotes about her who made sure that immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung" reverberated throughout the country and led women, working people and students to turn out as one for building a new country with patriotic songs.

The fourth part "Immortal song which will last forever" contains anecdotes about how leader Kim Jong Il personally wrote immortal famous masterpieces "My Mother" and "Azalea" and anecdotes about how songs praising Kim Jong Suk became famous songs.
