DPRK to Play in Group B in U-17 Women's World Cup
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- A drawing for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup was held some days ago.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, a winner of the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, is to meet France, the United States and Gambia in group B league matches. The DPRK will play with Gambia on Sep. 22, France on the 25th and the U.S. on the 29th.

The DPRK defeated the U.S. 2:1 in the finals in 2008.

Hwang Yong Bong, senior coach of the DPRK team, told KCNA:

"We do not know well about the abilities of the group B teams. The matches will be hard for my team. But we will do our best in league matches."

Kerry Bradley, assistant coach of the United States said:

"We are up against DPRK, who we often meet in competitions and a hard team to beat."

Meanwhile, the DPRK will challenge France and the United States in women's football group matches in the London 30th Olympic Games. A sports expert said it is unusual that the three nations are to contest in the same group in two world women's football tournaments in nearly two months.
