Greetings to 19th AU Session
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Saturday sent a message of greeting to the 19th ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) opening in Addis Ababa.

Kim in the message sent a warm and friendly salute on behalf of the DPRK government to the heads of states and governments of the AU and delegates of various countries present at the session.

The activities of the AU, which dynamically pushes forward the integration of the continent according to the common desire and will of the regional people to meet world challenges by their concerted efforts, are powerfully encouraging the African people in their efforts to achieve peace, stability and prosperity of the continent, the message said, and continued:

It is the consistent stand of the DPRK government to always value and steadily develop the long and traditional ties of friendship and cooperation with the African countries.

The message affirmed the invariable support and firm solidarity of the Korean people for the just cause of the African people for building independent and prosperous Africa.

It sincerely hoped that the session would yield good results in conformity with the common interests and desire of the member states.
