S. Korean Authorities' Crackdown Aimed at Stay in Power Slammed
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet radio Voice of People on July 10 denounced the "government" authorities for kicking up fascist crackdown aimed at stay in power.

The "Security Law" is now in full force under the present "government" and the number of cases indicted by the police on charges of violation of the evil law has increased this year over last year, the broadcasting noted, adding:

This goes to clearly prove that the security authorities have tightened clampdown by taking advantages of the intensified ruckus over the "forces following the north" and coloring offensive in the political camp with the forthcoming "presidential" election as a momentum.

Occasioned by the return of Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, to south Korea, the authorities searched the office room of Pomminryon South Headquarters and arrested its secretary general. Lurking behind this is their sinister intention to label the pro-reunification movement organization as "forces following the north".

There is skepticism that the security authorities abused the evil law for creating a condition favorable for the conservative forces in the forthcoming "presidential" election.
