Minju Joson Blames S. Korean Regime for Mounting Tension on Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Traitor Lee Myung Bak of south Korea recently said that the north intentionally provoked the sinking of warship "Cheonan" and the Yonphyong Island shelling and pledged to make tens-fold revenge in the event of further provocation. His remark is aimed to cover up the truth behind the massive provocations and shift the responsibility for the north-south relations that plunged to new low following the incidents onto the DPRK and justify his moves for confrontation and war.

Minju Joson Wednesday says this in a bylined commentary.

The "Cheonan" sinking was not an accidental one but a hideous farce orchestrated by the Lee group to escalate confrontation with the fellow countrymen, the commentary says, and goes on:

The Lee group is nowadays driving the situation on the peninsula to the brink of war by waging provocative war gambles, while reeling off invectives about "provocations by the north". This aims at misleading public opinion to divert elsewhere the people's hatred against him and tide over the worst ruling crisis.

His reckless remark is also aimed at inciting a war to aggravate the north-south confrontation and provoke a new armed conflict as a way out.

The situation of the Korean Peninsula is getting more serious and the danger of war is increasing owing to the Lee group's confrontation and war moves. This proves the Lee group is an arch criminal aggravating tension of the peninsula.
