Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. to Drop Its Policy of Aggression against DPRK
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists have so far regarded Korea as an important strategic vantage for realizing its ambition for world domination. This policy of aggression remains unchanged.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a bylined article.

The U.S. set forth a strategy of giving importance to Asia-Pacific for the purpose of realizing its ambition to invade the DPRK which it failed to do in the 1950s, occupying the Eurasian continent and dominating the world.

What matters is that the U.S. imperialists seek to put the DPRK under their military control and use the Korean Peninsula as a strategic bridgehead for realizing their dream of invading the Eurasian continent and the rest of the world, the article notes, and goes on:

The geopolitical position of Korea remains unchanged. It was once mercilessly trampled underfoot as a theater of scramble among big powers. But the DPRK now stands as a full-fledged political and military power.

It is a mistake if any country thinks it can pressurize the DPRK to pave the way for its war of aggression and offer the whole territory as shambles of a war.

The U.S. should abandon its Cold War thinking pattern. It should opt for respecting the sovereignty of the DPRK, giving up its hostile policy toward it and concluding a peace accord with it. The U.S. should seek a way of developing the bilateral relations from the stand of equality and mutual benefit. This is also beneficial to the development of international relations.

The U.S. imperialists had better drop their policy of aggression against the DPRK and behave themselves.
