Training for Quick Reading Encouraged in DPRK Secondary Schools
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- A brisk campaign for quick reading is going on at secondary schools in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The method of quick reading created by Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1 is popular among secondary school students. The method has been systematized to help students get accustomed to it.

According to educationists, the training for quick reading is conducive to improving their concentration, memory and judgment.

The training makes it possible for students to learn by heart any text of foreign language books in three to five minutes, which would take 30 minutes in general.

Jang Chong Song, a 16-year-old student of Pyongyang Jonsung Secondary School, told KCNA that his reading speed increased 5 to 10 times after taking a quick reading exercise for 60 hours.
