The Lee group of traitors talked about the implementation of the July 4 Joint Statement in the early period of its office. But this was nothing but a fraud and deception.

During the tenure of its office, the group pushed the inter-Korean relations to the lowest ebb, blatantly challenging the historic July 4 Joint Statement and the three principles of independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity enshrined in the inter-Korean declarations, the embodiment of the joint statement.

The issue of the country's reunification is an internal matter of the nation which rules out any interference of foreign forces.

The Lee group has paved the way for dependence on outsiders from the early period of its office, contrary to the principle of independence.

Regarding the inter-Korean relations as diplomatic relations, the group has considered it as its "diplomacy with the north" and "policy toward the north" to carry out the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

It drastically slashed the "Ministry of Unification" which was allegedly supervising the issue of north-south relations and increased the function of the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade". It posted maniacs keen on confrontation with the fellow countrymen to the above-said ministries, inciting them to float the issues arising in relations between the north and the south in the U.S. or Japan and staging anti-reunification acts.

The group challenged the spirit of the July 4 Joint Statement which called for achieving multifaceted exchange between the north and the south and promoting bilateral interests.

It totally denied the improvement of the relations, unhesitatingly saying that it is ready to keep the inter-Korean relations frozen to the end of its office.

The group slandered the DPRK's proposal for broad negotiations with such outcries as "no sincerity can be seen" and "it may be a tactic", thus banning even humanitarian cooperation.

The Lee group hurt the social system in the DPRK, being hell-bent on the racket for confrontation between social systems, contrary to the inter-Korean agreements and commitments.

It hatched such a hideous plot as a warship sinking case, not content with holding exercises for a war against the DPRK almost every day under the pretext of coping with "contingency". It has escalated confrontation with compatriots while crying out for "punishment" and "retaliation."

It went the lengths of perpetrating such thrice-cursed unethical acts of rubbing salt into the wounds of the nation who suffered the greatest loss, and hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, its lifeline.

Treacherous acts and anti-reunification crimes committed by the group of traitors by totally negating the reunification programme common to the nation and inter-Korean declarations put the crimes by the successive south Korean fascist dictators into the shade.

Neither improved inter-Korean relations nor national reunification, cherished desire of Koreans, are possible as long as the Lee group and other forces standing in the way of reunification are allowed to stay in power.

All Koreans should eliminate the group of traitors and achieve the historic cause of national reunification by their concerted efforts.
