U.S. Urged to Replace Korean Armistice Agreement with Peace Treaty: British Organizations
Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- British organizations issued statements on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in a joint statement on June 23 cited facts to expose that the U.S. imperialists, the chieftain of imperialism and international reactionaries, ignited the Korean war in June 1950. But the Korean people defeated the aggressors and honorably defended the independence and sovereignty of the country under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, a gifted strategist and invincible and iron-willed commander, the statement noted.

The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was a shining fruition of his Songun idea, it added.

The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association in a statement on June 22 said that though much water has flown under the bridge since the Armistice Agreement was signed in Korea, the U.S. imperialists are still imposing unspeakable misfortune and sufferings on the Korean people and obstructing the reunification of Korea, adding that the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea presents itself as a very urgent issue in achieving the cause of Korea's reunification.

The U.S. imperialists should replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace agreement and stop at once their hostile moves and provocative rackets for a war against the DPRK, it stressed.
