Juche Idea, Founded by Kim Il Sung in His Teens
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- It was on June 30, Juche 19 (1930) that President Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea as the guiding idea of the Korean revolution.

He convened a historic meeting in Kalun of China when Korea was at stake due to the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule and the revolutionary forces were suffering a big loss because of the factional elements' misdeeds.

At the meeting, he made a report titled "The Path of the Korean Revolution."

In the report he clarified the Juche-based theory and principles of revolution; The popular masses are responsible for the revolutionary struggle, and this struggle can emerge victorious only when they are mobilized. Accordingly, the Korean revolution should be made by the Korean people themselves in keeping with their country's specific conditions.

Kim Il Sung also said the nature of the Korean revolution was the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution and that the motive force of the revolution included the anti-Japanese patriotic people from all walks of life, including workers, peasants, intellectuals, non-comprador capitalists and religionists.

He advanced the line of armed struggle and other unique lines and policies in the report.

Indeed, the President was a prominent thinker and theoretician as he set forth the new guiding idea and lines of the revolution in his teens.

Led by him, the Korean revolution made steady and victorious advance under the banner of the Juche idea.

Today the Juche idea serves as the guiding idea in the era of independence for its scientific accuracy and truth.
