S. Korean "Government" Authorities Slammed for Pressurizing Media
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- A south Korean Internet paper on June 18 carried an article accusing the south Korean authorities of pressurizing media in a bid to cover up the truth about the illegal investigation into civilians.

The article dealt with the recent disclosure of the fact that Chongwadae pressurized some media to "make a balanced coverage" in the run-up to the announcement of the results of the prosecution's survey of illegal investigation by ruling quarters.

When this sparked off public furor, Chongwadae made such excuse as saying it was no more than a request, the article noted, adding:

The "government" authorities behaved so foolishly as to investigate the journalist who released a news item clarifying the chief culprit of the illegal investigation.

The recently disclosed pressure by Chongwadae is no more than a tip of iceberg, the article held, charging:

In a word, Lee Myung Bak is more impudent than any other military dictators in the past.
