A Cambodian radio said that Kim Jong Il performed immortal exploits while leading the WPK for several decades after starting his work there.

He made sure that the WPK preserved its revolutionary principle consistently and most thoroughly, the radio said, adding:

The WPK has steadily developed into an invincible party that has taken its roots deep among the masses, and a mother party that has formed an integral whole with the people. His exploits in party building will shine forever.

UBC Broadcasting of Uganda said that Kim Jong Il steadily developed the WPK into an invincible revolutionary party and made an undying contribution to global independence true to the cause of President Kim Il Sung.
