New Residents in Changjon Street Thankful for Socialist System
Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- People have begun to move to new houses in Changjon Street in the capital city of Pyongyang.

New arrivals are very satisfied with their large and fashionable houses.

Jo Pok Nam, a worker at the Pyongyang Wood-processing Factory, told KCNA:

"It is really like a dream. I keenly feel grateful to our socialist system which grants such nice houses free of charge.

I will do my best for the prosperity of the country."

Pak Pong Nyo, a war veteran, said:

"I already received new houses from the State several times. But this modern house was offered to my family again.

Such favor will never be expected in capitalist society where money is everything.

I think it is only our country that gives priority to ordinary working people."

Nam Sung Guk, a section chief of the Overseas Construction Guidance Bureau, said:

"House prices are on the steady rise in Western capitalist countries. In the United States, an average price for a flat now stands at around 177 000 dollars. So many people are homeless.

This fact makes me feel the advantages of our socialist system.

I will devote myself to carrying into practice the noble intention of the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is working heart and soul to provide the people with good living conditions and turn Pyongyang into a world-class city."
