Peaceful Reunification of Korea Supported by AAPSO Chief
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- Korea should be reunified independently and peacefully as early as possible in the spirit of "by the Korean nation itself" free from any outside interference, said Helmi El Hadidi, chairman of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization (AAPSO) in a statement on June 11.

He said the adoption of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration marked a historic event in improving the inter-Korean relations, achieving the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and leading it to reunification.

The south Korean authorities' political and military provocations against the DPRK in recent years have caused serious consequences of deteriorating the inter-Korean relations and disturbing the peace and security of the peninsula, the chairman said, adding:

The dear respected Kim Jong Un declared that the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK would join hands with whoever truly wants the reunification of the country and peace and prosperity of the nation and make responsible and persevering efforts to accomplish the historic cause of national reunification.

The chairman extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle for reunifying the country under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.
