S. Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman's Anti-DPRK Confrontation Hysteria Slammed
Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Jong Sung Jo, chairman of the south Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, talked about "possibility of military provocations" by the DPRK during his recent inspection of the 1st Fleet Command of the Navy on the east coast and 18th Combat Air Division under the Air Force. He kicked up war hysteria again while crying out for "destruction" and "decisive punishment."

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This hysteria is a revelation of sinister intention of Jong to describe the will of the army and people of the DPRK to retaliate against perpetrators of hideous crimes as "possibility of provocations" in a bid to shift the responsibility for tensions running high in the Korean Peninsula on to the DPRK and thus justify the moves for escalating confrontation and igniting a war against it.

What matters here is that Jong raised a hue and cry over the "strike at the bases of provocations and even its commanding forces" whenever opportunities presented themselves, the commentary says, and goes on:

His outbursts reflect adventurous scenario of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors to launch an all-out war following an armed conflict like Yonphyong Island incident according to a doctrine which calls for "striking the bases of provocations and its commanding forces".

The Lee group is the arch criminal escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula and the very source agitating and spearheading the moves for a war against the DPRK.

It admits of no argument that the Korean nation will fall victim to a nuclear war and its territory plunge into its holocaust unless such warmongers are eliminated at an early date.

The Lee group would face a miserable ruin by the DPRK's sacred war of merciless retaliation. Traitors deserve punishment, the commentary concludes.
