S. Korean Regime Accused of Cracking Down upon Members of Pomminryon
Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea has recently passed judgment on incumbent and former officials of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon). Its Chairman Ri Kyu Jae was sentenced to one year in prison, former Secretary General Ri Kyong Won four years and former Information Chairperson Choe Un A two years and six months in jail.

Minju Joson Tuesday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

To crack down upon members of Pomminryon linking them with the DPRK is just an undisguised provocation against the DPRK and a reckless act against the nation and reunification, which escalates confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The Lee group of traitors imposed penalties on the members, far from supporting and encouraging their righteous activities. This is rowdyism just like treachery doing harm to patriotism, the commentary notes, and goes on:

South Koreans are now harshly critical of the group's unjust trial of the Pomminryon members, countering the traitors' racket for "eliminating the forces following the north" with the call for "removing the forces following the U.S."

Their call is a revelation of will to bring about new policy and new life by shattering the conspiratorial "theory of the forces following the north" touted by the group of traitors.

The group of traitors should release the unreasonably detained members of Pomminryon at an early date, ensure freedom in the movement for reunification and roll back at once the tricky racket for "eliminating the forces following the north", clearly facing up to the people's mind-set.
