Senior Myanmar Party Official Meets WPK Delegation
Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- A member of the Central Executive Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, Union of Myanmar and prime minister of the Yangon Regional Government on June 16 met and had a friendly talk with the visiting delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Kim Yong Il, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK.

At the meeting the prime minister of the Yangon Regional Government said he was pleased that the cause of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il is being successfully carried forward by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The friendly relations between the two countries forged by leaders of Myanmar and President Kim Il Sung are favorably developing, he said, adding the peoples of the two countries are struggling to protect their sovereignty and achieve socio-economic development despite the U.S. sanctions and pressure.

The DPRK has military power so strong that no one dares provoke it, he said.

He expressed belief that the DPRK would win shining victory in building an economic power, too, as a political and military power under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
