On June 12 the artillery corps of south Korea staged madcap MLRS drill in the forefront Cholwon County, south Korean Kangwon Province in coordinated action with the 210th artillery brigade of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces. At dawn on June 11 there was an inspection of emergency military posture for promptly countering the "attack by the north's long-range artillery pieces" in the land and air at the instructions of the puppet minister of Defense.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

These are reckless moves of escalating military confrontation and tensions between the north and the south and disturbing the peace and stability not only in the Korean Peninsula but the rest of Northeast Asia.

The massive arms buildup stepped up by the puppet forces is a dangerous move that can be seen on the eve of war, the commentary says, and goes on:

The Lee Myung Bak group, finding itself in an extremely serious ruling crisis after being condemned by the public at home and abroad, is seeking a way out in provoking a war against the DPRK in conspiracy with outsiders.

The U.S. has shifted the focus of its military strategy to Asia and Japan-south Korea military nexus has become undisguised. The saber-rattling kicked up by the Lee group following large-scale arms buildup against this backdrop signifies ill-boding development.

This situation gives a clear answer to the question what is the starting point of the tensions mounting on the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity and who is its chieftain.

The Lee group is a dangerous warlike force as it brings war holocaust to the Korean nation through military provocations and racket of escalating tensions, being opposed to peace and reunification of Korea.

Detente of the peninsula and regional peace and stability can never be expected as long as the Lee group is allowed to brandish weapons for a war in collusion with its American and Japanese masters.
