June 15 North-South Joint Declaration Supported by British Organizations
Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- British organizations issued statements on June 6 and 7 on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association in a statement said that the declaration is a beacon of hope as it makes it possible to put an end to the division of Korea forced by foreign forces and achieve reconciliation and unity between the north and the south.

Fully embodied in the declaration is the Juche-based line for reunification laid down by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, it noted, accusing the Lee Myung Bak fascist regime in south Korea of denying the spirit and idea of the declaration and pursuing the anti-reunification policy contrary to it.

The statement condemned the sycophantic and treacherous act of the Lee puppet regime which is suppressing pro-reunification patriotic forces and progressive personages and making south Korea increasingly dependent on the U.S. and foreign forces.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in their joint statement stressed that the adoption of the declaration was a historic event which heralded the new era in the reunification of Korea and inter-Korean relations.

It is, at the same time, the shining fruition of the Songun policy pursued by Kim Jong Il.

The declaration can be implemented only when the Lee regime is ousted, the joint statement said. It positively supported the Korean people in their struggle to implement the declaration.
