Korean People's Struggle for National Reunification Supported by Indonesian Personage
Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- Shapril Arsiyad, chairman of the Indonesian Federation of Transport Workers Unions, issued a statement on June 11 to mark the 12th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The joint declaration is a historic one reflecting the noble desire of leader Kim Jong Il for national reunification and the will of the whole Korean nation, the statement said, and went on:

The publication of the declaration marked an occasion for clearing the atmosphere of confrontation and opening a phase of reconciliation and cooperation between the north and the south being supported by the whole world.

The present south Korean authorities, however, totally denied the declaration and hamstrung the efforts to implement it from the outset of their office. They faked up the "Cheonan" warship sinking case and staged massive war maneuvers against the DPRK, straining the situation on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme pitch of tension.

They barred south Korean people from coming to the DPRK to express condolences before the bier of Kim Jong Il with bitter grief over the loss of the nation's father. Moreover, they hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the Korean people and went so base as to slander the celebrations of children. Their behavior has touched off resentment of not only the Korean people but the Indonesian people.

We bitterly condemn the moves of the present south Korean authorities for confrontation with fellow countrymen and strongly demand them make an apology for all the crimes they committed against the Korean people.

We extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle to achieve the cause of national reunification, holding in high esteem the dear respected Kim Jong Un, their supreme leader, as the lodestar for national reunification.
