People's Condemnation of GIs' Killing of Schoolgirls Reported by S. Korean Internet Radio
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet radio Voice of People aired an article on Tuesday on the lapse of 10 years since Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son were mercilessly killed by an armored car of U.S. imperialist aggressor troops in south Korea.

The article recalled the two girls studying at the then Joyang Middle School were driven over by an armored car of the engineering corps of the 2nd Division of the U.S. forces on June 13, 2002.

There were clear traces of the car moving forward and backward on their bodies from their heads to their feet, the article said, adding this was the intentional murder by the GIs.

The U.S. forces side should have probed the truth behind the killing and punished the criminals, but it declared the killers not guilty, asserting at a hearing there were dead girls, but there was no killer, it said, and went on:

Members of civic and social organizations formed the "All-People Measure Committee against the Killing of Schoolgirls Late Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son by U.S. Forces' Armored Car" and conducted activities in demand of the probe into the truth behind the murder case, open apology and punishment of those responsible.

From then ceaseless candlelight actions have been staged by people from all walks of life including workers, students, youth and children and women in condemnation of the murder of them by GIs and in demand of withdrawal of the U.S. forces and in memory of the two schoolgirls in front of the 2nd Division of the U.S. forces.

Shouts of slogans "U.S. forces, bring Hyo Sun and Mi Son back to life!" and "Amend SOFA" triggered off by the murder of two schoolgirls are still heard from all parts of south Korea including Kwanghwamun of Seoul.
