The North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in the appeal called upon all Koreans at home and abroad to revive the June 15 era of reunification this year at any cost and open up a new landmark phase for peace and reunification of the country.

The historic June 15 joint declaration is a precious legacy of reunification and patriotism left to the Koreans by leader Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to the great unity of the nation and national reunification during his great revolutionary career, the appeal said.

It stressed the need to hold higher the banner of the joint declaration, prioritize the fellow countrymen and the common interests of the nation and fling open the gate to reunification by letting the Koreans pool strength and wisdom.

It, at the same time, called for courageously combating all sorts of confrontation theories and removing obstacles to the implementation of the joint declaration, carrying forward the course of visits, contacts, dialogues and cooperation provided by the June 15 joint declaration and decisively rejecting outside forces' domination and interference.

It called for intensifying the nationwide actions to frustrate joint military drills against the DPRK and arms buildup pushed forward in all parts of south Korea under various codenames.

It is necessary to thoroughly foil the attempt to build a tri-angular military alliance for aggression involving the U.S., Japan and south Korea, drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea and root out the source of war in Korea, the appeal noted, and went on:

It is essential to boost the solidarity among the north, south and overseas sides for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and vigorously promote the great unity of the entire nation.

The south Koreans are called upon to completely bury the conservative regime as it ruined the south Korean society and deteriorated the people's living through its unpopular rule, fascist dictatorship, irregularities and corruption.

The appeal called upon all Koreans to protect sovereignty, the right to existence and democratic rights and fully support the south Korean people in their just struggle for peace and reunification of the country.
