S. Korean Regime Brings Severance to North-South Relations
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- The situation of the Korean Peninsula has been brought to the brink of war due to the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea seeking confrontation against the fellow countrymen in the north in conclusion with outside forces.

Since he came to power, Lee has spoiled the north-south relations that had been on good terms, chilled the nation's desire for reunification and, furthermore, brought the danger of nuclear war to the Korean Peninsula.

Soon after he took power, he totally denied the June 15 Joint Declaration and October 4 Declaration adopted between the north and the south and pursued "no nuke, opening and 3 000 dollars" as "north policy", which has come under fire by the entire nation.

He also hampered all north-south cooperation projects, including Mt. Kumgang tourism.

As public criticism for his severance of north-south relations ran higher, he defended his "north policy" as "adherence to principles", "waiting strategy" and "sincerity", thus revealing his sinister desire for "unification under liberal democratic system."

The group of traitors abused the June 15 era of reunification as a "lost decade", laying a bar to holding reunification-related events co-sponsored by the north and the south each year.

It also frustrated an event due in Mt. Kumgang to mark the 12th anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration.

While saying "door for dialogue is kept open", Lee unconditionally rejected the DPRK's proposal for dialogue and went the lengths of defaming its supreme leadership.

Now all Koreans have turned out in the struggle to overthrow the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors and accomplish the independent and peaceful reunification of the country with their concerted efforts in line with the June 15 Joint Declaration.
