Minju Joson Denounces Japan for Its Brazenfaced Attitude to Past Crimes
Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- It is natural and logical for the world to compare stands of Germany and Japan on the issue of the past crimes, Minju Joson Wednesday says in a bylined commentary.

It goes on:

The two countries committed crimes against humanity during World War II. But, they took quite different and contrasting road regarding the liquidation of the past crimes.

That the New York Times devoted one whole page to advertisement critical of Japan reflected the curse and hatred of the international community.

The international community is spitting on Japan's disgraceful attitude as it goes impudent, not admitting its wrongdoings.

The liquidation of the past is the requirement of the times, justice and human conscience.

The world is advancing toward the new era of reconciliation, unity and cooperation, departing from disgraceful past. It is suicidal act for Japan to stick to its past.

It should, first of all, liquidate the dirty past wrongdoings.

To think of rendering any "international contribution" without the liquidation of the past crimes would be just a daydream. Japan should clearly know what the most urgent political task is and behave with discretion.
