Minju Joson Discloses Danger of U.S. Cyber Strategy
Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Defense Department was recently reported to have worked out a secret plan named PLAN-X for the purpose of developing cyber weapons to be used in an actual war and has zealously pushed it forward. What merits attention is that this plan calls for developing cyber weapons capable of completely disabling communication network and radars of enemy armies and working out an e-map which correctly records positions of tens of billions of computers distributed in the world.

Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This is a dangerous move to spark off showdown and a hot arms race in cyber space.

Cyber weapons serve as a means for achieving the U.S. wild ambition for dominating the world at present.

In May last year the U.S. defined cyber space as its new military sphere in its cyber strategy. It clarified that it would make retaliation with conventional military strength against the cyber attack which posed a "threat" to its national security.

This meant the U.S. official declaration of a start of cyber war before the world.

The subsequent period witnessed fierce wars without gun report in cyber space.

The U.S. is now making much fuss, simplifying the procedures for providing funds for the development of the weapons and pushing ahead with PLAN-X for disabling all the computers of the enemy armies in case of emergency. This entails such serious consequences as escalating confrontation and arms race between the two opposing sides in cyber space.

A war may break out in cyber space due to the U.S. implementation of its extremely reckless and dangerous cyber strategy for world domination.

It goes without saying that escalated confrontation in cyber space, arms race and cyber war are bound to do enormous harm to people.

It is not without reason that the international community strongly calls for achieving peace in cyber space.
