S. Korean Lawmakers Accuse Japan of Moves to Conceal Past Crimes
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Women lawmakers from the Democratic United Party of south Korea at a press conference on June 7 released a statement denouncing Japan for its moves to cover up its past crimes.

The statement accused Japan of attempting to remove the monument to the comfort women for the Imperial Japanese Army in New Jersey, U.S. far from admitting and making apology for its past crimes.

It termed Japan's statement that it would invest a huge amount of money in return for removing the monument an attempt to cover up its unethical crimes by bribery.

It urged Japan to make apology and reparation before the world community, instead of imploring the removal of the monument.

The statement declared that they would demand the "government" urge Japan to immediately opt for settling the issue of comfort women.
