Senior Lao Party Official Refers to Relations with DPRK

Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- Boun Thong Chitmani, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee and chairman of the Control Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Thursday met a delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) led by Kim Yong Il, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, on a visit to Laos.

The chairman extended warm congratulations to the dear respected Kim Jong Un on his election as first secretary of the WPK and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

The traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and countries provided by Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung have grown stronger generation after generation, he said.
