KCU Delegates Deeply Moved by Doctors' Care
Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Medical workers of Pyongyang are looking after delegates to the celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) in a responsible manner.

Han So Yon (9), a delegate from Taehung Primary School in Huichon City, Jagang Province, told KCNA:

"I am grateful to doctors for caring for my health just like my own parents.

One day, I had a splitting headache, with my body shivering. I cried quietly in bed for fear that other roommates would wake.

I thought of my mother. At that time, a doctor carefully touched me on the shoulder, kindly asking what troubled me.

She took me on her back to a treatment room and measured my temperature. She then administered a medicine to me. She sat up all night for me. The doctor reminded me of my own mother."

Ri Hak Min (12) and Choe Jin Hyang (9), delegates from Chongryong Secondary School in Pongsan County, North Hwanghae Province and from Hungnam Primary School in Hungnam District, Hamhung City, South Hamgyong Province, said that they were deeply moved by doctors' utmost care for their health.

Jang Kil San, a department director of the Ministry of Public Health, said:

"Many medical workers have been mobilized for the celebrations.

Treatment rooms fully equipped with medical apparatuses were available on each floor of each block.

First-aid treatment teams consisting of able doctors and nurses are accompanying the delegates, divided in ten ambulances.

Some delegates got operations for acute appendicitis, while some others were completely recovered from cold."
