S. Korean Organization Accuses Japan of Threatening Peace on Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea held a press conference on June 1 in Seoul to condemn Japan for hamstringing the efforts for the peace on the Korean Peninsula.

At the conference the speakers disclosed the plan of the Japanese Defense Ministry to deploy Aegis warship of the Maritime "Self-Defense Force" in waters close to the West Sea of Korea.

They branded the plan as an act of threatening the peace on the Korean Peninsula and escalating the military tension in Northeast Asia.

The deployment of Aegis warship in waters close to the West Sea of Korea would fuel Japan's burning ambition for reviving militarism, as it has always looked for an opportunity to advance toward the Korean Peninsula, they insisted.

Japan is revealing its militarist nature time and again, far from making apology and reflection on its past crimes including sexual slavery, distortion of history, etc., they said.
