Int'l Solidarity Council Meets to Urge Settlement of Japan's Past
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- A meeting of coordinators of the International Solidarity Council Demanding Settlement of Japan's Past took place in Beijing on May 20.

Present there were delegates and personages of those countries and regions affiliated to the council including the DPRK, China and Philippines.

The meeting informed the participants of activities conducted by organizations and personages of those countries and regions last year in demand of the settlement of Japan's past crimes against humanity.

The participants vehemently denounced the Japanese authorities for turning a deaf ear to the strong voices of victims and international public demanding apology and reparation for the above said crimes. They also blamed Japan for inflicting more sufferings on victims while persistently avoiding the settlement of the past crimes though more than 60 years have passed after its defeat in war.

They expressed their will to fight it out till the Japanese authorities settle the issue properly.

The meeting discussed and decided on measures to powerfully conduct international solidarity activities this year demanding the settlement of Japan's past.
