Battle Ended in Victory with Stone Shower
Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- The battle in Mt. Kouyushui, which was conducted under the command of President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese armed struggle, was characterized by a shower of stones.

On June 5, Juche 26 (1937), a day after victorious Pochonbo battle in the homeland, the main unit of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) took a brief rest at a village before mounting Mt. Kouyushui.

The President led the unit to the mountain, anticipating that the enemies would soon track the unit upon hearing the news of the attack on Pochonbo.

The mountain was so rocky and steep that even an accidental roll of a stone may cause deadly rockslide.

He told soldiers to be careful not to roll a stone.

Making up his mind to turn rocks and stones to good account, he ordered the unit to get combat ready.

As the enemies approached, machine guns and rifles opened fire on his order.

The enemies desperately resisted with their bodies hidden behind rocks.

Suddenly a stone rolled down which turned into a shower of rocks in a matter of a moment.

The enemies suffered wholesale deaths and the battle ended in victory on the KPRA side.
