Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, chairwoman of the Founding Committee of Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia, when interviewed by TVONE on May 28, said as follows over the release of a book to mark the centenary of the President's birth:

I wrote the book "President Soekarno and President Kim Il Sung" to celebrate the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The book deals in detail with the friendly relations between Kim Il Sung and Soekarno.

They had common viewpoints in many aspects and were strong in anti-imperialist stand.

They visited each other's countries in 1964 and 1965.

Kim Il Sung greatly contributed to the national liberation struggle in colonial countries.

He was an elder statesman of the world who actively struggled for unity among the progressive forces of the world, among the newly emerging countries in particular.

She said that she was pleased with her writing of the book about Kim Il Sung, a great man of the century, adding that she would publish the book in several other national languages in the future.

The TVONE said about the contents of the interview, showing the photos of Kim Il Sung making an address in the tribune of honor of the military parade for celebrating the war victory, and the two presidents looking round the Bogor Botanical Garden in Indonesia.
